Anton led Monica and her Girl Scout troop on an end-of-the-year hike at Marine View Park last Wednesday. They hiked down the half-mile trail to the beach, had a picnic, played in the water a little, and hiked back up. (Or so I am told.) I am relieved that Girl Scouts is over for the school year (especially those darn district meetings I have to attend as an adult leader) but glad that all in all the troop had a good year. Monica LOVES being a Girl Scout and can't wait to wear her uniform to dinner at Parsons like mom and dad.
