Build a Bear (or a Dinosaur)

Today was another Christmas adventure. Erica took Monica and Kyle to Build-a-Bear workshop in Bell Square to create their Christmas presents. Monica chose a pink bear and picked out a pink ballerina outfit with pink ballet slippers as well as an additional pair of pink tennis shoes. She named her bear "Dora." When she approached the the cash register, the lady asked her "So, what's YOUR favorite color?"

Kyle, on the other hand, picked out a green dinosaur and dressed him in a spiderman outfit with brown sandals. He named him "Diego." I think the sandals really complete the outfit, don't you?

This evening we exchanged Christmas presents with the Martins in our PJ's. It was just like old times: sipping hot cider and chatting while in pajamas... all except for the 4 kids running around. :)

Yo, Anne...good work on the blog...keep it up. We're watching...and you're making me motivated to start something like this...

Merry Christmas to you all..

oh, and here's a story, inspired by your "if I was a presbyterian" comment...we had our staff christmas gathering last night at the principal's house...people were sipping wine, drinking moose drool and such. Then the white elephant exchange got going...our Spanish teacher and his wife are serious mormons...(down to their vestments, so he's told me). Anyway, they steal someone's basket containing XL boxes of junior mints, sour skittles, a lady bug massage tool?, and a copy of the movie "Rudy"...well, it turns out that ladybug massage tool was a coveted item and someone took it away from them, so they open a new present and it's another basket with red pom-poms and a bottle of white wine...so she says, "how fitting, the mormon gets wine for Christmas." And I say, "well, consider the alternative...you almost ended up getting a movie about Catholics..."

got a pretty good laugh, from the non-mormons anyway...

Peace,
Baker
